I am running Vista ultimate on Dell M90 (64 bit machine); tried installing Nortel Connectivity VPN client (128 bit) version 6.07 -- get message that says 'this version is only for Vista -- turn off compability mode for CVC' or similar. This issue occurs when the AVC filter driver is not upgraded correctly during software installation. As a precautionary measure, rebooting the machine before an upgrade installation is highly recommended.
If the problem does occur, the workaround would be to uninstall and then reinstall the client. Please note, uninstall will remove all profiles and configurations. If users want to carry them over to the following reinstallation, they can use the Import/Export feature to export them before uninstall and import them back after reinstallation. (32-bit Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7) (64-bit Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7) Cheers. I have tried many versions of Avaya VPN, the latest one included, on Windows 7. However I am still getting famous error “VPN tunnel is disconnected due to routing table change”. I have applied also workaround, published recently on our blog – to set metric to some fixed number (I’ve used 20).
But I am still getting this error and it doesn’t matter if I am using a cable or WIFI. I have relized that this error comes much quicker when I transfer bigger amount of data, while it seems to be working fine, when I am not transfering anything. Do you know, if there is some setup or other workaround, which could help me? Any help is very welcome, because it is more than annoying to be disconnected every 10 minutes:-/ Thanks! Hi Birkof, I’ve never personally observed that problem so I can’t really say how to fix it other than to point to the documentation that you’ve already seen. Do you have access to the AVR (Avaya VPN Router)? Is the AVR running software release 8.x or higher?
Unfortunately, I can’t really say what the issue is because I’ve never personally seen it or had to troubleshoot it myself. I know the IPSec connection isn’t very tolerable of poor Internet connections. If you start a constant ping to the AVR do you see any ICMP timeouts?
